Ranch of the Month: DD Ranch
We are pleased to be kicking off our “Farm/Ranch of the Month” feature with Central Oregon treasure DD Ranch. Located in Terrebonne with stunning views of Smith Rock State Park, DD Ranch has been a favorite stop on our Farm & Ranch Tours since we began our culinary excursions. Mike and Diann Duggan, along with their son Scott, raise grass-fed and antibiotic free beef and pork on their land, along with acres of corn, potatoes and sunflowers. DD Ranch also produces 100% raw honey (never processed or pasteurized), which is not only creamy and delicious, but can also help boost your immune system.

Each season brings a wealth of fun family-friendly activities at the ranch. Every winter the Duggans are busy helping Central Oregonians pick out their Douglas Fir Christmas trees grown on the farm and holiday wreaths lovingly crafted by Diann. Autumn means it’s Pumpkin Patch time, complete with hayrides, hay maze, Kids Corral and u-pick corn and u-dig potatoes. Spring and summer are great times for kids to visit DD Ranch’s petting zoo and ride a pony. If you’re lucky, you’ll visit DD Ranch when their Cafe BBQ Grill is open for business, slinging hamburgers and hot dogs made from their all-natural beef and pork.
With a wealth of wild and domestic animals calling the Ranch home (the land qualifies as a wildlife sanctuary), DD Ranch is a also a great destination for birdwatching, hiking, and nature-observing. And with their barn able to accommodate large groups, DD Ranch is an ideal setting for educational field trips, birthday parties, or any other celebration you have in mind.
There are many ways you can get your hands on DD Ranch’s fine products. You can contact the ranch directly at 541.548.1432 or email them at email@example.com to order product, which ranges in size from individual packages to wholes, halves and quarters of animals. You can also order DD Ranch pork, beef, potatoes and honey online through Central Oregon Locavore or Agricultural Connections, two easy ways to shop for local and regional products. DD Ranch meat is also available for purchase at Primal Cuts, Bend’s newest meat market featuring many local producers.
